Mirs - INfluencer (demo)

A meandering sketch that endeared….

Available to download below (soundcloud / bandcamp):

15 Years Old
Look up in the sky
It’s a beautiful sky
The trees reaching high
With my new girl
Cute as can be
Little "Symphony"

We're 15 years old, dropping LSD
Sky High as a kite
Go to Riverside
Dance at the rave
Best play the game
Music in the days

That’s what they play

Little paranoid
Little insecure

21 years old
Got my girlfriend
Go out to the bar
Pick up another friend
Feeling all right
Have my self some drinks
Get into a fight
Blackout through the night
What am I doing
With my life, I'm doing
I don't even know

A little paranoid

Little insecure
Little paranoid

30 years old
Up in a grocery store
Late night 10 / 11
Got to get some more

Grab a 12 of beer
Run out like a thief

Friends are having fun
Take an edible I'm on the run
Look at my friends
Some of them dead
Look at my friends
Many of them dead

Little paranoid
Little insecure

35 Years
All the apps we got
Looking at the trees
Reaching to the top
Seen all my friends some of them doing good
Look at my friends, fighting on Facebook
Look at my friends, fighting on Facebook
Look at my friends, smiling on Instagram
They take their pictures
They have good lives
Sitting in front of cars
Sometimes private planes
Can you fill their hearts
Selling all they can
Can you give them hearts
I'm not here to judge

Little insecure
Little paranoid

Don’t fuck with me, No
I love you though

Three Worlds Reviewed by Arthouse Cinema Site Pinnland Empire

Pinnland Empire reviews Amir Motlagh’s latest feature film, Three Worlds. A great review and primer with no spoilers. The film is available now on multiple platforms with many more coming soon. Mirs provided a cut for the soundtrack. Read the film review by clicking here:

Los Angeles is a strange place with its own unique set of rules (much like any popular city). Filmmaker Amir Motlagh taps into this with his latest feature; Three Worlds - a story that mixes semi-personal journal entries with the existential drama found in the works of Terrence Malick or even Shane Curruth (Upstream Color to be specific). This is also an important film about cultural pride and the impact of therapy.....

And putting all Mekas/Malick comparisons aside, this is very much Motlagh’s own film. The movie is filled with obvious autobiographical content that comes off as genuine & organic as opposed to pretentious. That’s not an easy task with a film like this (ambient, sprawling, artistic and sometimes chaotic). A young filmmaker could easily get self-absorbed & pretentious with a movie like Three Worlds but that’s not the case here.

Press Quotes:

"It's rare to mix rawness with beauty" - Marcus Pinn PINNLAND EMPIRE / ZEBRAS IN AMERICA

"It's always exciting whenever a distinct new voice makes itself heard on the indie landscape. Amir Motlagh is such a voice...."Honest and soulful" - Adam Schartoff FILMWAX RADIO

“There is without a doubt a definitive boldness to “Three Worlds”, both in its tone and aspirations, and it will certainly require viewers to lean in a little closer, which is never a bad thing…..a curious and
fascinating watch.” - David Fowlie KEEPING IT REEL

The experience of both films (MAN + Three Worlds) is one that any film connoisseur must have. To sit with an awareness of the film, and, an awareness of how you are watching it, is a surreal act that can only be described as “art.” Motlagh’s work is definitely a piece of art in the medium of film.” - Jonita Davis THE IRANIAN
