Amir Motlagh's feature film MAN is up for pre-order

MIRS composed one track (Hafiz Drinks) for Amir Motlagh's new feature film MAN, which is now up for pre-order on Vimeo. Grab a copy! The film officially releases on July 27th, 2018.

The score releases shortly after with original music from Chicago artist Stephen Holliger (SwimIgnorantFire) and MIRS.

About the film: MAN is a vertité-style day-in-the-life story about a computer programmer who lives a secluded existence in L.A.'s Laurel Canyon. His sole real-life companions are his two dogs; everyone else--friends, colleagues, family--he only connects with through technological mediation, via phones and computers.

MIRS is featured in two new films (MAN + Three Worlds) that preview in Chicago April 21st.

MIRS has two tracks featured in the upcoming feature films, MAN & Three Worlds that screen as an Amir Motlagh double feature preview screening in Chicago 4/21 at 6pm. The show is hosted by Chicago Filmmakers

Other music artists featured in the films include LA's Kid Gusto, France's 1982paris and Chicago's Stephen Holliger (Swim Ignorant Fire) who also sound designed both pictures.

The score of Three Worlds was composed by Julian DW Brink, and it is an incredible score.

MIRS constant art Collaborator - Ali Sabet

Funny thing that we've been updating posts about our album art. Over half our cover art has been a collaboration between us and artist Ali Sabet. Last year, we went to Tokyo with Sabet to take care of project stuff.

This year, he went alone and ended up doing a mural at the AIRBNB he was staying at. That particular story is going viral now, with over 30 outlets doing stories on it after the INDEPENDENT ran its story. You can read it here

Below is a short visual doc of our Tokyo trip last year, which our friend Mahyar shot. He ended up using tracks from CANYON. Solo MIRS makes several short appearances.
